Windsor Public Library, Adult Literacy Program:
What: One to one tutoring. Small group classes (2-8 people).
          Employment preparation classes (offered three time a year)
          Small group class for Persons with Developmental Disabilities (2-5 people)
          Help with reading, writing, numeracy and computers. Preparation for
          employment. Deaf Literacy program available.
Who: Adults 19 years of age and older (some age exceptions apply)
When: Daytime or evening – 4 to 10 hours per week depending on program
Where: Literacy classes are at the Central Library only. Tutoring time and place are
             convenient to both learner and tutor at any of the 10 branches

St. Clair College:
What: Large group (10 to 40 people). Teacher led instruction. Help with reading, writing, spelling and math. Basic computer. Academic & Career Entrance (ACE) certificate available which is equivalent to grade 12 for the purpose of entering postsecondary college and apprenticeship programs.
Who: Adults 19 years of age and older (some age exceptions apply)
When: Daytime or early evening: Up to 25 hours per week

Assistance with transportation may be available.

Greater Essex County District School Board:
What: Large group (10 to 20 people). Teacher led instruction. Help with reading, writing, spelling and math. Computer learning lab.
Pre-credit for entrance to adult secondary credit program.
Preparation for employment.
Apprenticeship math. Pre GED.
Who: Adults 19 years of age and older (some age exceptions apply)
When: Daytime. 5 to 25 hours per week
Where: Mason Educational Centre

Unemployed Help Cente:
What: Large group (15 to 20 people). Teacher led instruction. Help with reading,
writing, spelling and math. Computer learning. Preparation for employment and further education and training.
Who: Adults 19 years of age and older (some age exceptions apply)
When: Daytime - 8:30 to 4:30 with evening hours until 7:30 on Wednesday.
Assistance with transportation or day care may be available.

South Essex Community Council:
What: One to one tutoring or small group (2 to 9 people). Help with reading, writing,
spelling and math. Some computer learning programs
Who: Adults 19 years of age and older (some age exceptions apply)
When: Daytime or evening. 2 to 4 hours per week
Where: Leamington and surrounding area. Tutoring time and place are convenient to
both learner and tutor. Childcare provided with some classes.
