Individual Tutoring

There are volunteer opportunities to provide tutoring to adults in your community. The time and location are decided by the tutor and learner. The commitment is two to four hours per week. Full orientation and training are provided. The following literacy organizations use volunteers as individual tutors. Call ahead to register for training.

Small Group or Large Group Setting

There are also opportunities to assist an instructor in a small group or larger group setting. In this situation, the volunteer has the support of an experienced instructor who gives guidance and direction during specified times.
